The chat, now rebranded as wokecat.com, features many veteran YWOT users such as Sammich, Kevin and JA. Jesse78 is also an active user(''and possibly the owner, please confirm if true'').

These fragments of "Ghost Text" were most likely visions of edits made elsewhere on the page(''Ex. Ghost text is also referred to as Fog Text since the fragments often appear inside unloaded areas of the screen.

It is theorized that Ghost/Fog Text can be edited before they disappear, and that the edits would then carry over to wherever the Ghost Text originated from(Ex. ''Think back to the previous example. If the North Road traveler edits the ghost text before it disappears then the edit has a chance to be carried back to Spawn''). There is very little proof of this, however, and a subsequent attempt to edit Ghost Text has resulted in a user being teleported back to Spawn.
