'''The Janitor''' is a user who appeared at spawn during September of 2022.

They are a controversial presence within YWOT due to their tendency to erase spam and slurs, which clashes with [[Spam central|Spam Central]]'s usual lawlessness. 

Following a series of conflict with [[Korieum (User)|Korieum]], the Janitor became a far more passive figure within YWOT. Though they still create some amount of controversy through their use of [[Roombas]]: [[Moving Text Objects|mobile scripts]] which could automatically clear text at spawn.

==Janitor Box==
In the beginning the Janitor would signify their presence with a '''Box''' located left of the center. This Box contained a list of notable sites along with multiple rules meant to discourage griefing. Due to the anarchic nature of YWOT, many users objected to the Janitor's policing of spawn and attacked the Box. Their efforts were ultimately futile, however, as the Janitor protected their creation using scripts. 

No attempt to remove the Janitor Box would be successful until [[Korieum (User)|Korieum's]] intervention in November of 2022. 
=== Korieum/Islamic State===

On November 6th, 2022, [[Korieum (User)|Korieum]] returned to YWOT and began spamming spawn. The Janitor cleaned up the spam, prompting Korieum to paste his own box(also script-maintained) over the Janitor's box.  

On November 11th, 2022, the Janitor grew tired of cleaning spam, and agreed to stop repairing their box in exchange for Korieum removing his. 

As a show of victory Korieum pasted the Islamic State Flag(script-maintained) over where the Janitor Box used to be. 

On November 12th, 2022 a giant, self-repairing ISIS flag appeared at spawn, remaining there until November 15th.  

The Janitor remained active past this point, though their box never returned.

== Road Script ==
Starting on July 28th, 2023 the Janitor began running a script which re-arranges text characters. This was primarily used upon a grey road which ran through spawn at the time.<gallery>
