West Road

Portion of the West Road.

The West Roads are a series of roads and lines that run towards the westwards direction of Spawn. The primary West Roads are a pair of large roads that are presumably script generated due to their sheer size and length. These roads run all the way to X:-2500 Y:0 before ending shortly after and being replaced by hand-made roads. The West Roads ultimately lead to Oregonis at X:-10000 Y:0 where they finally end.

Sites to See

West City/Vitrius - Located at X:-1000 Y:0, this is the most populated city that lies along the West Roads. Most people who travel westward stop here.

Coal Gorge - Located at X:-2000 Y:0. Consists of messages from previous travelers.

Trimalia - A city located at X:-3000 Y:0. Trimalia is home to Trimalia Tower, a tall spire of great beauty. At least 27 people have arrived here as of November 2020.

Nameless -5k Watering Hole Thing - Located at X:-5000 Y:0, halfway towards X:-10000, this is the final named landmark before Oregonis. It mainly consists of messages left behind by travelers who came through in the past. It is also supposedly the birthplace of Ponald Grump, an infinitely evil entity who seeks to destroy everything humanity holds dear. Left at this landmark is the corpse of one of Ponald's clones(for future visitors to study) and the sleeping body of a creature named April, who will one day awaken to save the world from the evil Ponald.

Oregonis/Peenus Weenusville - Located at X:-10000 Y:0, this is the ultimate goal of most travelers who decide to go past West City. As of November 2020, at least 17 people have made it to this city. Oregonis consists of(among many other things): a pair of large signs at its entrance, a list of visitors, a large image of Bill Cipher, the lyrics of In the Year 2525 by Zager and Evans, and a few buildings. Not a lot of people go past this city, with only a few daring souls continuing on to 16K Village, the final westward city.

-16k Village - Located at X:-16000 Y:0, one of the farthest known landmark to the west of YWOT. Since the West Road ends at Oregonis, the "path" to -16k Village is almost completely empty with the exception of rare pieces of text and a trail of "YEAH" that goes from Oregonis to X:-11111. Due to the sheer amount of time required to get to it, the Village itself is desolate, with only 7 known people reaching it as of November 2020.

Bum Fuck Egypt - The city located at X:-50,000 Y:0. Consists of a cluster of ASCII Egyptian architecture. Founded by Zambo.

History

The road and everything related to it was completely removed by someone nicknamed Lewis (not to be confused with Louis) on 4/27/14. This article remains as a record and documentation of its existence. It got repaired (date unknown) and then destroyed by Kellana on 8/6/16. It got repaired by Montero in September 2016 and is still here today. In July 2018 Bobzilla made the start of the road closer to spawn, however in doing so, may have accidentally caused many people to try and destroy the road, some going as far as X: -50 and beyond.

Near the start of the road existed a "galaxy" which was a large swath of black unicode characters. People were encouraged to add a "star" each time they passed by. A total of twenty tea-houses existed before X- 500 along with two strip clubs, several magic shops, the Eiffel tower, the space needle, and several vandalized McDonalds.

Many memes are now posted along what used to be the road and someone called Haydenwest has made many shops.
