grady964: what happened summer of 2015

grady964: just deadness?

dzeni: Quite the opposite

dzeni: It may have caused the deadness to some extent though

dzeni: scripts got leaked left and right, worlds getting spammed like there's no tomorrow.

The Summer of 2015 was a period of heavy spam that led Andrew Badr to reset Mainpage on July 15th, 2015.[1]

Its aftermath can be found at https://www.yourworldoftext.com/frontpage/~andrew/5, which contains a copy of the entire Mainpage up to the day of the reset.

Notable Spam[edit | edit source]

Aftermaths of the Summer of 2015, as seen in https://www.yourworldoftext.com/frontpage/~andrew/5.

Exclamation Mark Desert[edit | edit source]

One of the most prominent fixtures of Spam Central in 2015, the Exclamation Mark Desert extends 334 - 350 coordinates on all sides.

Northern edge of the Exclamation Mark Desert at Y:350.

"Diagonal Spam"[edit | edit source]

The Diagonal Spam is the name many use for the massive rows of scripted text that reads "FUCK YOU SHIT CUNT N***ER BITCH SLUT WHORE FA**OT JEW."

It extends 20 coordinates on all sides in the 2015 Archive, but could also be seen on countless subworlds where it usually covers everything in a 32 coordinates radius. By 2024, most traces of this spam has been removed(Ex. from /hELP), though it can still be seen on a decent number of worlds(Ex. /~inconspicuousnoise, /~Dzeni/5minutetest).

All the hard-hitting slurs have been censored out just in case.

ALL YOUR BASES ARE BELONG TO US[edit | edit source]
