SPLATOON is a motif of structures made out of the word "SPLATOON." The most well-known instance is the SPLATOON LINE, a line which snakes vertically across the right side of the Mainpage, frequently bending and turning to avoid running over text.

Many other forms of SPLATOON STRUCTURES can be found across YWOT, such as SPLATOON BLOCKS with black borders and large masses of letters spelling out the word "SPLATOON". There is also a SPLATOON CITY located in the far south of the main-page, which is made of a large group of interconnected roads with some ASCII art scattered in between.

The creator of all SPLATOON structures is a legendary YWOT user known as SPLATOON Guy.

Though many view the SPLATOON line as spam, others admire it for its wavy movements along with the SPLATOON Guy's dedication to making it all by hand.

Along the South Road especially, SPLATOON Guy is regarded as a legendary figure. One user even offered to create a fan club for him.

Trivia

• SPLATOON Guy briefly joined the YWOT Discord server at the start of the 2020 Mainpage Lockdown, but the account he used has since gone inactive and he remains an elusive figure to this day.
• SPLATOON Guy has played and enjoyed Splatoon 3, the latest installment to the Splatoon franchise.
• Ozymandias, a figure mentioned in the Big Tome of SPLATOON Guy, was also reported to have griefed the West Road in 2016.
• Surprisingly, SPLATOON Guy is not the only prominent YWOT user to begin his career by spamming the word "poop" on the Mainpage.
