Exclamation Mark Desert
The Exclamation Mark Desert was a large cluster of exclamation marks on the 2015 homepage that one would've encountered if they scrolled really far from Spawn. The spam cluster went up to X: 334 and extended that far on all four sides. It likely appeared in late 2014 and wiped out a good chunk of history. One would've found the North Road if scrolling upwards, or "a log about people mining" if they chose to scroll downwards.
At least one person in 2015 recounted meeting the person behind this spam on one of their worlds. They recall having someone visit their world and then flooding the whole screen with exclamation marks. They mentioned that it went on forever and needed to be cleared out several times. In addition to the exclamation mark spam, dot spam had been observed on the Front Page which may have been done by the same person. The only difference is that the dot spam replaced empty spaces with dots.
After the main page was reset in July 2015, the Exclamation Mark Desert was completely removed and then quickly replaced by a void of random characters including the greek alphabet, emojis and symbols. Since then, that has been removed as well.
