2024 French Incursion

The 2024 French Incursion, known on OWOT as the Aywen Migration, was an influx of French users triggered by Aywen, a popular tech Youtuber who created a YWOT clone as a social project.
The YWOT clone, which was named textboard.fr, went public on December 14th, 2024 and attracted thousands of users from Aywen's Discord server. Textboard was closed down on December 18th and many of its users subsequently migrated to YWOT and OWOT.
The 2024 French Incursion shared some similarities with 2020's Brazilpocalypse, for instance the creation of heavy lag as the server struggled to accommodate new users. The arrival of French users was met with significantly less racist pushback, however, mainly as a result of the English userbase being smaller than it was back in 2020.
Users introduced to the site by Aywen were also more technically inclined and brought with them a variety of scripts.

Textboard.fr was largely identical to YWOT, though it contained many additional features such as pasting, teleporting and a higher rate limit.
